Sorry if this has been discussed, but I didn't know these existed: http://cgi.ebay.com/G-L-Tribute-Series-SB-2-SB2-MIJ-3tone-sunburst-great_W0QQitemZ120198802853QQihZ002QQcategoryZ4713 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I'm curious how the build quality compares to the Korean and USA models.

I don't know a lot about these, but you can get the skinny Jazz neck on the L2000 trib that they don't do on the Korean ones.

There are only few of them. Tributes were first produced in Japan for a short time and later the production went to Korea and afterwards to Indonesia.
Quality? G&L Quality I suspect. ;)

Japanese instrument quality tends to be very good if you want to make a broad generalization. That's why people GAS so much for MIJ Fenders and older Japanese knock off guitars. Sometimes they're even better than US models in the latter case.
I believe the Tribute line in Japan was made only for the Japanese market. The US Tribute line started in Korea, then eventually moved to Indonesia.
