FOR SALE ONLY, NO TRADES PLEASE.
Up for sale is my Bill Fitzmaurice Omni 10 built by yours truly.

-9 ply Baltic Birch plywood

-Impedance is 4 ohms, 300w total
-Black carpet finish
-Recessed spring loaded handles
-4 piezo tweeters
-on/off switch and a 1/4 jack, on back of cab.

Overall the cab is in very good condition. This cab can cop some old school tones with the tweeters off and also HI-FI with them on. Very clean, and versatile. Weighs around 50 lbs. $400 + shipping, or local pickup is OK and prefered.

Hey, I'm just learning about these cabs. Looks like you did a good job with it. I have several questions:

Anything you don't like about it?

Anything you would change if you were to do it all over?

Is it as loud and room-filling as some suggest?

Are the dimensions the same as what's listed on the fitzmaurice site?

Lastly, how well does it do old school? I'm mostly a four-string, tube amp kind of guy--not too much into the modern sounds. A little here and there maybe, but that's about it...

Thanks for your time.

Matt

A bump and response.

The only qualm i do have with the cab is it doesnt have a thunderous low end. But then again im used to playing through my aguilar 2x12. There are SPL charts if you want to read them at www.billfitzmaurice.com. Reguardless, the cab was able to get very loud and still maintain very clear sound quality without distortion. It fit in well with a band i was playing in with a rock guitarist and drummer. There is not much i would change about the cab, just about how organized i was when i built it; it ended up taking me a long time to build. As far as loud, yes it is a loud cab, and it does fill the room well. I even played an outdoor gig with the said band (no pa support) and it held its own. Yes, the dimensions are just as what is listed on the site. I followed the plans verbatim. The cab can do old school, i think the head will have more impact on tone though, but this cab is uncolored unlike many cabs out there. I played with a peavey BAM, and a Eden head through this cab and both sounded very good with it. With both heads and my P bass special, i could definitely get an old school tone. Let me know if you want to know more.

BUMP! i just played my first gig with my omni 10.5 (half size model single 10") and gk800rb(used 100watt channel only) i didnt even turn the volume up all the way (vol - half and 100watt amp knob at 1/4) no PA support but also no drumer.

im sure the full size would do well for anyone that normally uses a half stack and doesnt want to lug around something heavy!
