Yea I know the topic sounds funny but. . .
I was watching one of the "Bass Day" videos and saw Rufus Reid and Mike Moore, both used German Bows but the frogs were huge. It looked like they could put their whole hand around the inside of the frog. Is this just another style of bow? Maybe it was the filming or the angle but the bows looked rather large in distance from wood to hair.

I've played Michael's bows; nothing odd, size-wise. I'd suspect the camera angle or lens distorted things.

i have 2 different german bows one has a frog that is about 2cm bigger. i thenk with the big kind you put you ring and middle finger inside the frog and the smaller one you only put you ring finger in

German bows are held underhanded, and a French bow's frog is too small to be held underhanded. I at first used a French bow, but I couldn't hold it without either gripping too tight or accidentally dropping it on to the floor (good thing it was a fiberglass bow!). Therefore I switched to a German bow.
