So I got this one used. I am a guitarist but I love bass and this is a sweet one! I would like to upgrade some details on it:

1) Change the pickups (already ordered two Lindy Fralin's)

2) Any reason I should change the bridge? Is Fender offering a bridge with a better tone that the Standard one?

3) What do you thing about the S1 switching? Is there any reason I should replace all the pots with 250k CTS and install a DPDT switch for the series/parallel option? Will the CTS pots help the tone of the instrument or not?

4) I am not crazy about shielding, I can handle some noise!:)

Any other ideas are more than welcome:)

on my old MIA p-bass i found that the standard string thru body bridge was causing me a lot of broken strings. so i put on a badass3.

the pot's should be fine, but that button feels a little fragile to me. i'd use a push/pull pot if you find yourself even using the series/parallel option.

not shielding is fine, i guess, just be sure to ground.
