You know it, you love it! The Fender Reissue 51 Precision bass - mine is up for trade. I've had this bass for approx one year, and while the bass sounds excellent, I greatly prefer a Jazz or split-P bass in a live situation. I'm sure it's awesome in the right context/hands - but for me it's not cuttin' it!
This bass has an upgrade pickup - Seymour Duncan SCPB-3 installed, and I will include the original pickup in the deal.
I have replaced the original pickguard with a white pickguard, and I will include the original black pickguard in the deal.
This bass is in excellent condition, with one small dent near the bridge, and a SMALL finish chip near the neck pocket on the body (on the side). There is NO damage to the wood.
I currently have Elixir Nano's installed, but can install Fender flats if you'd like. The bass will include a standard MIM gig bag.
With the pickguard and pickup, this bass has a value of right at $700 new. I'd like to trade for a like-value Fender split-P or Jazz.

I also added a quick mp3 that I recorded straight into my PC with the tone on full. If you are in MO we can meet!
