ok, so I'm brand new to talkbass but I just want to say I think the concept of this site is so great I just had to join and hopefully someone can help me....ok so here's my problem:
I went on vacation to Hawaii for a week and a half, and left my 1969 Fender P-bass in a hardshell TKL case at home in south Florida. When I got home and played my bass, I noticed that when plucking the open G and D strings or fretting a 7th fret D or 9th fret E on the G string, a horrible buzzing occurs throughout the entire bass. When I hold the headstock or the G or D tuners, the buzzing disappears. I took the bass apart and realized that the G tuning peg is somewhat loose although the base of the tuner is securely screwed in. HELP! I have no idea what to do this has never been a problem before, and I'm afraid that something might have warped while I was gone....any input would be greatley appreciated! Thanks!
