*I did use the search function first, came up with zilch.*

So I'm finishing (1st time) a P-Bass body. Swamp ash with a maple top.
Should I be concerned about using a water based pore filler?
Will the water based filler affect the adhesive that holds the top on?

Thanks in advance.

No, it wouldn't be very good if manufacturers of wood filler had their products react with glue joints would it? :)

Wood fillers are perfectly safe. The waterbased ones dry so fast you hardly have time to level it properly. If you're not too sure how to work with it just practice on scrap.

Im using water based poly and used several coats (took me forever to sand all that back!!! - never again) and I haven't have a problem.

Thanks. I wanted to be sure there wasn't something like
"ARE YOU NUTS? water based fillers are NEVER to be used with laminate tops, EVER!!!" that every one but me knew about.
Best to err on the side of safety.
