Just got some Black Limba for a body and then found a piece that will work for a neck. I haven't worked with this wood yet and was wondering if anybody had used it for a neck and if it were stable enough. If it bends easily will stabilizers be enough to correct it?

I think someone here has done a mostly-limba neck, with CF composite bars inlaid.
I may have seen some limba Warmoth necks too, you can check. They put steel bars in their necks.

I have used it for 1 piece necks but my pieces were very tight grained and almost perfectly 1/4 sawn.

Did you use CF Stabilizers?
Do you have a side shot of the headstock. I was thinking about doing a one with a back angle.
Looks good BTW.

Nope just the black limba. Sorry no side shots. Thanks

Here's a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul with a Korina (which is just another name for Limba, IIRC) body and neck... so, it must be suitable as a neck, at least at some point. I would look for well-quartered, close-grained wood...
