Hi all,
I'm a singer for a Ska band in S. Florida, and I've always been wowed by Ska bass lines. After really listening to our bass player live, I've decided to try and pick up bass. (Only problem is convincing my parents to let me buy one since I'll soon need my money for college.) I'd like to play primarily Ska, any help would be appreciated in coming up with reasons for the parents, gear selection, or basic theory. Saw this site when searching for a good ska bass and decided to join up.
