Harvie's playing a refinished Kay.
Vic is one of the underappreciated guitarists of our time.

VIC JURIS - Nice dry wit too! He's on faculty over at the New School, so I've had a chance to talk with him when the Tuesday guys have been doing the sophmore jury rhythm section thang...

Deeyam, can everybody bop like that up there? Between Harvie and Marco it's a little scary.

Hmmm. There are, to be sure, any number of musicians whose playing may be deficient in any number of areas, there's people (like me) who are kinda hacks etc. It's not like they hold auditions at the Holland Tunnel.
But the concentration of world class player (for this music) is pretty high up here.
Always room for one more.

I used to live in the Poconos, and have had the great pleaseure to listen to Vic perform with the Dave Liebman Group, which at the time consisted of Dave, Marko Marcinco on drums, Vic, and Tony Marino on bass. What a great group. They would play this spot called the Deer Head Inn, an intimate little club in the Water Gap.
Marko really impressed me the most. They are all masters.

Vic Juris is my favorite--more people should know about him! I had the honor of being on a concert with him in January and it was a pleasure to work with him and a ton of fun making music with him.
