Humblerumble 01-30-2008, 12:20 PM Selling my Fender MIA P bass to fund my latest G.A.S. I will add better close up pics tonight. (I think it is a 2002 or 2003 model) Black with maple neck in excellent condition. Mirror pickguard, SD 1/4 pounders, BadAss II bridge, Hipshot detuner, chrome ashtray bridge cover, strap locks, black leather Levy's strap. hardshell case. $750 shipped to lower 48. Throw in One Set of Rotosound Jazz Bass 77 Flatwounds and a set of LaBella Flatwounds (Rounds on the bass now)
joelb79 01-30-2008, 01:04 PM how exactly did you fit a bridge cover over a BAII? And why not a BAIII? Better pictures?
Humblerumble 01-30-2008, 01:46 PM It may be a BA III, I'll have to check, and it was a tight fit. The top of the bridge is visible as the cover doesn't totally cover the bridge. I was playing with some guys doing some Maiden and such and wanted that Steve Harris vibe. I'll put some better pics up tonight.

That looks like a jazz bass bridge cover to me.
joelb79 01-30-2008, 02:01 PM That looks like a jazz bass bridge cover to me.
A Jazz cover is much bigger. That is a P Cover.
Humblerumble 01-30-2008, 07:39 PM Here are some more pics. I was sickened to find a chip in the side. The only other thing is a small crack in the pickguard where it cracked when it was installed.

Humblerumble 01-30-2008, 07:47 PM This shows the chip

purfektstranger 01-31-2008, 09:25 AM Up the Irons.....great looking bass. Come on Steve Harris fans...this one is ready to go!
Humblerumble 01-31-2008, 09:29 AM Thanks for the bump. I was making a Harris clone when I made it! :bassist:
Valerus 01-31-2008, 09:59 AM I just noticed you were!
How do you like the mirror pickguard?
Webtroll 01-31-2008, 10:34 AM steve harris? looks more like phil lynott's bass to me (still great!)
purfektstranger 01-31-2008, 10:52 AM looks can be deceiving....bad ass bridge....seymour duncans....mirror pickguard...... = kicka$$ bass.
I digress...somebody buy this great bass.
Humblerumble 01-31-2008, 12:22 PM Thanks Guys. I tried to find a Harris Signature bass for a long time. I was playing with some guys at the time and we were working up some Maiden, and I decided to make my own. Found a nice P bass and started tweaking. That band didn't work out and I play 5 string about 95% of the time and I just spent 2k on a new bass soooo figured I would sell off a few items to keep the wife happy :)
Humblerumble 01-31-2008, 05:01 PM evening bump
Dave M 01-31-2008, 08:35 PM Where did you find the mirror pickguard? Does it have good clarity? Is it fairly stout plastic, or thin and flimsy?
Bump for a nice looker. ;)
Humblerumble 02-01-2008, 08:17 AM I think it was www.allparts.com but I have ordered so much stuff over the years I could be confused :) Yes it was pretty solid and it was tight fitting at the end of the neck and I cracked it putting it on :scowl: Started to order another one then but figured I'd leave it to see if I liked it and have left it on for years. Thought many times of throwing on a tort pick guard though.
Hamrhed 02-01-2008, 11:05 AM Bump for the sweet P bass... and the Ox Baker avatar :D
Humblerumble 02-01-2008, 04:56 PM Thanks Hamrhed...Gotta love the Ox :D

purfektstranger 02-03-2008, 06:49 AM This is a crazy good deal for real. Somebody please wake up!
Relayer59 02-03-2008, 11:17 AM Are you sure that's a 57 reissue? All of them that I've seen (and I'm actively looking for one, btw) have "Precision Bass" written under the spaggetti logo, not next to it like yours. Serious question. Thanks.
Mike
Relayer59 02-03-2008, 11:19 AM Probably my mistake...thought you had stated it was a 57 RI...sorry.
Humblerumble 02-04-2008, 07:04 AM No it's not a '57 ri :) I think it is a 2003 Model
Humblerumble 02-06-2008, 12:59 PM Heading to EvilBay in a few days....
