Hello,

I have just bought the book "The Best of Victor Wooten" so i could learn the song more love. It says that the bass is tunes A-D-G-Bb, i have tried this but the strings are either too loose or too tight, just wondering if you know what to do.

Thanks, Alex Wafford.

i believe that on that tune victor uses his tenor bass which i'm sure is strung with different gauge strings to accommodate for the tuning. if i were i would try an equivalent tuning that works for your strings tension-wise and just play the tune in a different key.

Great question!
I believe that he is using a bass that has the strings A-D-G-C then he just drops the C down a whole step to Bb

Buy a set of strings for a 6 string bass and use the lighter gauges....then do what the guy above me said
