Anybody know anything about KMD pickups? Are they quality pups? I had some in my old GTX 5 string bass and I liked them pretty well. I don't have it anymore, but I had someone contact me recently to ask me about KMD's. I can't find anything else about them other than I now Kaman Music put them in some of their stuff. Might have to contact Kaman about them, but I thought maybe there was some input on them before I went to those lengths.

Hey can you send me a picture of this bass? I used to have one and as I recall the pickups were okay, but kind of noisy with the treble maxed. Those GTX-51's are RARE!!!!!

Well mine was even more rare. Mine was a 55. Kaman didn't even have it in their computers and told me it was probably a prototype.

i think "KMD" stands for "Kaman Music Distribution." they may have produced these pickups themselves or outsourced them, i'm not sure.

sorry i can't be more helpful.

Hello all. I play 6 string guitar. I use Ibanez guitars. I put a KMD triple coil pickup in my guitar to replace the factory Ibanez. I would like to find another KMD triple coil for my other guitars. I'm going with seymour duncans dimebucker but would like the KMD. This pickup is HOT! I've never played one this hot to this day. If anyone has any info. about KMD pups would you please contact me? Thanks for your time.
