I have a KSD proto J with a stripped truss rod nut.The inside of the alan nut is completely useless and I don't think it can be taken out anymore. The neck is set up well and the bass plays well but I'm still thinking I might want to get a new neck for it.KSD has no customer service and I wouldn't want another KSD neck anyway.Because it's a 35" scale,I may have to have a neck built.
It's a 5 string maple neck with pearl inlays and I would like it to be a high quality neck.
I have other basses and am under no time pressure and could send this neck to a builder for a match.
Is there anyone here who could help with this?

Have you tried Guitar Mill? They are located in Murfreesboro, TN and are on the internet at guitarmill.com They are known for their bodies and have a sign on their homepage stating that they will soon have the capability of making necks. Last time I spoke to them personally, a week or so ago, they said they had their CNC machines in and were working on the programs for the machines. Couldn't hurt to call and ask, their number is (800)995-4799. Hope this helps. C YA!!!!
