Candyman Bob Knebel 03-28-2008, 06:53 PM This is Way Cool :D . All my Best-BlueGrass-Bass-Buddies-I've-Never-Met offering their fun music and band-mates to the NYC Fray. I hope each and every one of you get to play and you blow some argyle-soks off. BlueGrass Rules :p !! lowEndRick 03-28-2008, 08:18 PM Thanks Bob for the support. You'd be surprised. Not too many argyle socks around. There is actually a pretty vibrant bluegrass and roots music scene in NYC. Clubs with great music in manhattan and brooklyn. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/29/arts/music/29folk.html?th%26emc=th Bob Knebel 03-28-2008, 10:23 PM Thanks Bob for the support. You'd be surprised. I even own a pair of argyle socks :p . I ain't 'zactly from bluegrass ground zero. My state was formed by Methodists, sheep runners, cattle rustlers, and gold boomers ... not too many roots musicians involved. I'd love to see Greg Garrison on bass ... he's a monster. Levon Helm and rest of The Band were my heroes in high school. "The Last Waltz" (with the volume turned way up) is the best music video .... Ever ... IMO. "Up On Cripple Creek" is The Best. We do Long Black Veil regularly in our sets / jams. Good Luck and I hope your band gets to play in conjunction with the original post from bassdogEmer .....
