Well, this bass has seen better days. I wanted a T-bird, so instead of going warmoth or buying a mij knockoff, I figured I´d just saw off the body wings and glue new ones in. Fortunately for the buyer, I never actually did this. Anyway, about the bass:

-Low action
-Straight neck
-Truss rod works
-No broken or repaired headstock
-Clear overspray
-Good frets
-Feels/sounds/plays great
-Although not pictured, the engraved truss rod cover is included

The bad:
-Previous owner removed the active preamp
-The body was somewhat rounded at the bottom shoulder (I didn´t mind because I was going to chop everything off anyway!)

The price? well, the bass is actually playable as is, and basses like this one, in good condition are selling in the bay for close to 2 grand... so I figured:

650-700 bucks OBO (I really mean OBO, I´m flexible about the price)

A good deal with the current exchange rate! No case (won´t fit a regular case, lenghtwise), but will do a great job packing her.

If you´d like to restore the bass to original shape, you could saw off the modified wing and glue in a new one (you can see the lamination in the front pic). These basses play great, and this particular example is not as heavy as a t-40 (like most of these basses are). It weights close to 5 kilos, which isn´t super light, but not super heavy either, and it balances pretty nicely too.

Right now the bass is in Mèxico (sale has to originate outside the US, right?). Therefore, no USPS shipping, only ups/fedex/dhl. Shipping:

-around 150 USD to europe and south america, and gets there in 3 or 4 days.
-40 USD to Mexico, 2 day service. The rest of north america will be around 100 bucks.
-Shipping to asia and australia is always very expensive...

BTW, I´ll fill out the invoice/customs paperwork per your request.

Payment via paypal or wire transfer. Thanks for looking, PM with any questions!

Man, if that active system hadn't been pulled, I'd be all over it.

pretty decent actually. Punchy as hell, I think they might actually be t-bird pups in disguise. I think the pups were not actually active, just the preamp.

I contacted the previous owner about the preamp as soon as I got the bass. He claims to have it, but I have not been able to have him ship it to me! If it indeed turns out later, and the bass is still available, I'll post in the US classifieds the complete beast!
