Hey, I'm super excited about this, as it's my first recording with my new band, and with my new Ampeg rig (SVT-3 Pro, SVT410HLF). Recorded at Ice House Studios in Goderich. Hope you like it.

Sounds great. Nice bass tone and playing. I love metal with interesting bass parts that you can actually hear. The only thing I would change would be making the vocals louder, I can barley hear them. You guys are pretty technical, holy crap I think I would have an aneurysm trying play some of those riffs.

Thick and juicy, and you can actually hear the bass for the most part!

Vokills are pretty good too

Thanks guys!

Yeah, I try to make my bass parts stand out, and our producer/engineer was along the same line of thinking. I'm still tweaking my bass tone, but I'm pretty happy with it so far. I'm adding a compressor soon, and then maybe an MXR Blowtorch down the road for those moments I need a dirtier sound.

Not my favorite genre of metal, but I think you guys do it better than most bands I've heard with this vibe. Great bass tone too. Really well done.

i think the bass is a bit trebly and could definitely stand out a little more in the intro, but i dig the track overall, i look forward to hearing more. love the name by the way.

Sounds good. A lot of compression, dry/trebly.. I would say drop of the compression a little and bring up the lower freqs. It would sound "bigger". Nice song. :bassist:

It's very nice! Big load of variation and you can really hear that this isn't the average-14-year-olds-stacking-up-riffs-that-they-found-on-ultimate-guitar.com

Great song, thick sound, audible bass, great vocals, awesome band name. Sounds a lot like Beneath the Massacre...but I think I like you guys more. I think the studio did a great job as well.

So, wanna come play in GA? Lemme know if you're ever in our neck of the woods.

Thanks guys! Yeah, the studio we recorded at was Ice House Studios in Goderich, ON. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=122942311 He did an excellent job, his price was very reasonable (we actually paid him more than what he asked because we were that happy), and a great guy to work with.

We're psyched for our first show, tonight!

Thanks man! I really want to record more songs! We've got 3 more songs finished, and a couple more started, but our writing's been slowed down a bit since we've added a second guitarist who's learning our songs so far.

Keep this thread in mind, if you record a CD let me know because I want to buy it!
This is not my typical style, but I think its going to grow on me.

Awesome man! We're just finishing up writing, then we're going to go record our 4 other songs to finish up our EP, which I'll definitely be whoring around wherever I can

i'm gonna be honest. i usually dislike these "types" of bands because sometimes it just all sounds the same (i'm not being an ignorant bastard)....but you're guys' sound is very distinctive and unique. as for the bass, IMHO i would beef it up a bit, but it sounds great. i'm very impressed. keep on rocking:bassist:

I'm not a fan of the hardcore vocals. I think some low death metal growls would be cool over the music. The music is good. I like it a lot more than most bands of this genre.

Thanks man! I think part of the issue with my bass tone on this track was in the production more than my actual tone. Though, my live tone will be getting beefier too, as I'm adding a compressor to even things out a touch, and adding a Blowtorch too hopefully.

Cool man, definitely some of our songs have more variation in the vocals than this one. This is probably our simplest song.

New song posted, called "Packet Flier"!

http://www.myspace.com/terrorhorse

Recorded with my updated rig, having added a DBX 160a to my rack, and tweaked my EQ a bit. My tone doesn't really come through fully on this song, but it's hard to on a track like this.

The rest of the band really stepped it up on this song, and it features our second guitarist, Matt, who wasn't in the band when we recorded "The Gate".

Also, we have lots of live clips, here:

Going to be adding some studio vids soon! For now, here's a teaser of Cam recording the drums for this one:

lol No, our guitarist, Richard, is on tour with his other band, Norris, so this is a joke we're running with to explain why we're taking a break lol

Also, in the studio vid, you can hear my actual bass tone a lot better than in the final mix. :yesway:
