Hello fellow Europeans!
Here we go: up for sale is my fretless Lakland 44-02, Skyline series, black with a lined ebony fretboard. The fretboard gives incredible sustain, the cut out body gives super access to the higher range, (22 frets). It has the Lakland pick-ups and electronics, which truly gives the possibility to dial in the tone you want. Can also tweek the midrange from inside the electronics cavity. It is equipped with Dunlop straplocks and strung with almost brand new D'Addario light gauge flatwounds. It plays like an absolute dream, anyone who has had one of these in their hands knows what I am talking about.
I bought this bass from the Bassplace in Arizona, it was a demo model but I am the first owner. There is a slight hiss from the jazz pup if you take your hands off the strings, doesn't bother me but thought I should mention it. Think it is a shielding problem. Also one scratch on the bottom end next to the strap peg which you can see in the pic. For the rest it is in excellent condition, neck straight and perfect. Plays like a dream.
The only reason I am selling this bass is because I already have a Fender MIM fretless and wanted to try fretted bass. I need to finance the purchase of a Lakland Joe Osborn fretted jazz.
This bass retails for around 1500 in europe, I would like to get 900 euros for it, OBO.
Would also be open to trade for a Peavey Cirrus or EBMM Stingray
Thanks for looking!
