Hey all I own a custom woodworking shop and having been playing bass for 12 years now.

I'm finally in a place where I can combine my talents. I am looking for good instructional videos or literature about fretting, neck construction and other specific processes of custom bass building

Any suggestions???

Thanks

Take a look at the "how too" thread at the top of this forum.

If you are the kind who likes to know the physics behind what makes these things work pick up Roger Siminoff's "The Luthier's Handbook" http://www.siminoff.net/pages/siminoff_books.html
It is written with acoustic instruments in mind but has a lot of really good information on what happens before and after you pluck the string.

Id say Kochs and Hiscocks are a must before putting any hand over a tool and/or wood.
