Anyone running a copy of this? If so, would you mind checking the file size on the application? I got a copy of it from a friend, but it's on a burned CD and the file size is a measly 335mb. I opened the program and it runs and looks fine, as far as I can tell (haven't really used it yet), but the file size seems very small for a "professional" program like this.

(The reason I ask is because he also burned me a copy of Express 7.1 and the image file for that is 2.2gb, which seems more in the ballpark. Just trying to make sure I'm not getting shafted out of features I don't know about.)

You should contact Apple to ask, just so you are sure you aren't getting "shafted".

The thing you have to understand is Logic Pro is far more than just the application executable. It comes on seven DVD's not counting the Demo/example DVD. So yes that is about right for the size of the app file, but you're missing a lot of files.

If you're worried about missing features just buy a copy. Apple cut the price in half with v8 and Logic Express is even cheaper and a great deal for the money.

Exactly. Just go buy express. You get the most necessary features at $199. And you can upgrade to the full studio version for the price difference down the road. DON'T use cracked software. It's illegal.
