This head is one year old, and still has one year left on the warranty (documentation/receipt will be provided with unit).
This head is very crisp, clear, wide and modern sounding... and loud! It weighs just slightly more than the LMII. At this point, I use the F1 exclusively for gigging, so this one needs to move.
The head is in perfect shape except for a very small 'rack scratch' on the bottom of the unit. It has both the rubber feet and rack ears installed at the moment for shipping.
NO TRADES, CONTINENTAL US ONLY.
I am asking $845 for the head. I will be on the road starting later today through Monday, so my buddy Ryan (248) 546-4773 at Low Down Sound is handling the sale for me until my return. If you are interested, I will throw in shipping for a fellow TBer (tell Ryan Ken said it's OK). Ryan is available from noon to 6 Eastern time.
Here is a picture with the LMII on top for size comparison.
EDIT: STILL AVAILABLE....PRICE DROP to $800 including ground shipping to continental US.

The SD800 never really reached 'beloved' status with me like the F1 and LMII. It's a great head, but I have never run out of headroom with either the F1 or LMII, and prefer the tighter low end and more mid even voicing of those two heads to the very wide deep bass and very hi fi type top end and rather aggressive upper mids (to my ear) of the SD800. That being said, the SD800 does KILL with the Bergantino AE410, but I still ended up liking the F1 a little better, even with that cab.
The SD800 is a great sounding head if you like it VERY clean and wide (deep low end extension and a very modern, uber quick treble response)..... I describe it as the 'Mark King' sort of thing. It never really spoke to me like the LMII and F1 did.
Great head though, and the power per weight (I think it's right around 7 pounds) is truly amazing. It sounds VERY good with a more mid oriented cab like the Berg HS or AE line. Many also use this head with a more traditional vintage sounding sealed cab.

A Great Big +1!!!!
As I get older and play more gigs, a powerful, clean, quick, light-weight head just makes sense IMO. This amp with (insert killer 410) can play ANYWHERE and have it covered. To me, it's just very transparent amplification....if you like the sound of your bass, you'll like the SD800, again IMO.
Uh oh, where are my pills?

I thought this was sold, but it is still available.
PRICE DROP: $800 including standard ground shipping in the continental US. This head is literally in like new shape except for the small 'rack rash' scratch on the bottom of the head, and has a full year left on the warranty. It includes rack ears.
That makes it a full $400 savings from a new one from Musician's Friend (although you will have to wait at least a month until they start shipping from there), and almost $500 savings if you have one shipped to you from GC (since you pay tax and shipping at GC).

I have a F1 and I prefer the sound of the 800. I would give the 800 a 9 and the F1 a 7 in the scale of my own personal taste.
The reasons I went with the F1 were the weight/size and price difference. If I only had waited a little bit... Now it is too late anyway. :)

Yeah, too bad. I really want this head. Guess I'll wait and see if another one pops up later.
