Well, shucks. Apparently I was breaking retail law by giving you guys back-door access to my best pricing on Genz gear. Oh, well, I will still offer the competitive pricing that I hope ya'll had a chance to see before I turned it off... but you'll have to PM or call me to get it.

Sorry for any inconvenience!

By the way - this is almost certainly not limited to Genz-Benz. Every major manufacturer is protective of their pricing, and rightly so. This allows small-time dealers like myself to compete against the buying power of the warehouse guys. The big boys rightly pay less for their stock because they're buying in larger quantites... thus the "Price Too Low To Show" sort of advertising that we all see from them.

Personally, I prefer to be able to shop quickly and confidently, knowing I'm getting the best price (or at least the same price as everyone else) without having to jump through too many hoops. Building that into a cart system in such a way that you don't violate minimum advertising rules is a bit of a tightrope walk.

I'm going to be checking with several other manufacturers to make sure what I'm doing is legit... at this point, I suspect that it is not. If so, we'll likely drop back to the "Price Too Low To Show" sort of thing ourselves. That's a pain for you, and it's a pain for me... but rules is rules :)

No matter what, if I have something you want and you think my price is too high - call me! As Earwigger said earlier today, I'm on your side ;)
