This thread goes hand-in-hand with my "subwoofers" thread. I'm on the lookout for something reasonable in the <$100 range. We're going the biamp route with one set of Carvin mains (passive internal crossover), one pair of Yorkie subs, and two modest power amps. The band is on a budget but, then again, who isn't?
Thanks for the assistance!

or
for a little more I'd spend the extra 50 bucks on

Look for a used Ashly. They can be had for <$100 and are rock solid.

I snagged a mint dbx 223XL off E-bay so I'm good to go. Also picked up a pair of Yorkville YS118 18" subs. Here's the rig as planned:
Behringer 24 ch board
Sonic Maximizer (in effects loop)
dbx crossover
QSC 1450 driving (2) Carvin 1503 mains
Crest CA-6 driving (2) Yorkie 18" subs.
Next purchase will either be a graphic EQ or 5 band parametric EQ.
