OK, this bass (http://www.rocketmusic.net/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=2269) is ridiculously cool. If you've been considering a Fender Custom Shop or a Sadowsky... stop right there, and check out a Suhr. John Suhr used to be a Senior Master Builder in Fender's Custom Shop, and what you're getting here is every bit as good (if not better).
I specifically requested the Joe Barden PUPs because Suhr does not offer those as a standard option. I've been thinking about putting them in my Thumb NT, so I wanted to hear them in an actual bass. Well, they sound pretty incredible. Great punch, great clarity. This is one heck of a Jazz Bass.
On top of all that, it's looks like a million bucks!! Suhr is producing some of the finest finishes in the industry (IMHO).
