Whats your favorite Love song ? I would have to say Stone Temple Pilots " Still Remains" is up there for me.

Still Remains -

Our bed we live, our bed we sleep
Making love and I become you
Flesh is warm with naked feet
Stabbing thorns and you become me.

Oh, I'd beg for you,
Oh, you know I'll beg for you
Pick a song and sing a yellow nectarine
Take a bath I'll drink the water that you leave
If you should die before me ask if you can bring a friend
Pick a flower, hold your breath
And drift away ......

She holds my hand, we share a laugh,
Sipping orange blossom breezes
Love is still but sweat remains
A cherished gift unselfish feeling ...

Oh, I'd beg for you,
Oh, you know I'll beg for you.
Pick a song and sing a yellow nectarine
Take a bath I'll drink the water that you leave
If you should die before me ask if you can bring a friend
Pick a flower, hold your breath
And drift away ......

She tells me things, I listen well
Drink the wine and save the water --
Skin is smooth, I steal a glance
Dragon flies are flying over ...

Oh, I'd beg for you
Oh, you know I'll beg for you
Pick a song and sing a yellow nectarine
Take a bath I'll drink the water that you leave
If you should die before me ask if you can bring a friend
Pick a flower, hold your breath
And drift away ......

Great call on the Etta James tune...she is amazing...

I saw her at The Majestic Theater in dallas a couple of years ago...she looks pretty rough now (getting up there), but can still sing and is funny a heck...She introduced this song and told someone in the crowd "honey, I was singin this song when you was still in yo daddies sack"...LOL...everyone cracked up...

I think it's funny how Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight was mentioned here. It seems to be a ubiquitous romantic tune in many circles (for example it's a big wedding song), but has anybody ever closely examined the last verse?

It's time to go home now and I've got an aching head,
So I give her the car keys and she helps me to bed.
And then I tell her, as I turn out the light,
I say, "My darling, you were wonderful tonight.
Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight."

So let's see, he gets totally trashed at a party and gets his babe to drive them home. Then she helps him stagger into the house where he immediately crashes and says how great she is as he nods off in bed. Gotta love it!

"And you and I" by Yes is quite nice as well

"And You And I" is a love song?!?!?!

Yeah, there's nothing quite as direct, intimate, and profoundly emotional as whispering in your sweetheart's ear

"A man conceived a moments answers to the dream,
Staying the flowers daily, sensing all the themes.
As a foundation left to create the spiral aim,
A movement regained and regarded both the same,
All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you.

Changed only for a sight of sound, the space agreed.
Between the picture of time behind the face of need,
Coming quickly to terms of all expression laid,
Emotion revealed as the ocean maid,
All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you."

All chicks dig that schidt
