I'm looking to buy a guitar for me and my bf to share. Thing is, I have no idea what to get and I want it to be a surprise when he gets back from Iraq. I prefer not to hear any comments on spending money on a gf/bf please :) he's spent more on me already.

So, obviously I've never played, but he has. He's played for about 6 years I think. I don't know what kind of bass he used to have. He said it was a crappy off brand that he only loved because it was his first. And he doesn't like fender so much. Idk why.

Any suggestions on what would be a good guitar for both of us? And if not, what would be good for him.
I'm going to look at used guitars. I would go as high as $350 but I prefer closer to $200..

Give one of our staff a call at 866.751.3220... They can help you better over the phone, but we do have several options in that price range. If you haven't already, take a look at www.ThePerfectBass.com and see if there's anything out there that looks interesting.

We go through a great deal of expense to try and offer the best available product in any price point, so anything that we have in stock is going to be something that we feel is a good value!

That being said, by talking to one of our reps, you can give them the kind of music your BF likes and a little info about his preferences and we can probably point you in the right direction!

Peace, good luck and thank you boyfriend for his service to our country! Much love to our armed forces from TPB!!
