Ok guys I've been at this on my own for a about 4yrs and really think it's time to get some formal instruction. So I'm currently looking for an instructor in the Atlanta area. I'm in south Atlanta but willing to travel.
First off my experience: I've been trying to teach myself for 4yrs now. I have no formal training and have learned what I have up to this point by playing by ear. Problem is have no improvisational skills so trying to jam is pretty much impossible for me on the fly, which is what I really want to be able to do. I'd be willing to learn everything you can throw at me based on my skill level. My main goal is just to be a solid all around player. What times do you have available for lessons? I LOVE to play and I really want to get better at it. What part of town are you in. Also any reservations about teaching older students?
