Hello everyone,
I thought it felt appropriate to introduce myself here before barging into several threads acting like I'm already at home here.
I'm 26 Belgian and left bass playing about 4 years ago due to a finger injury. After my right index (yeah a crucial part) was healed I couldn't get myself to play bass. Also because a group of musician friends (two previous bands) fell apart because we all got older and gained more responsibility in life.
But now since two weeks I'm back at playing. I now have more time for it.
I went to a local music store, bought a small amp, got my Fender MIM fretless Jazz Bass out of it's case, and tried to pick it up again. A bit frustrating that I got too rusty at it, but I'll try to keep at it. Have to re-learn a lot, but most things are coming back to me. At this point bass playing even starts to feel natural to me again.
I've been lurking around these forums since last week, and decided to register. Every time I was not satisfied with my playing I came prowling here. To see what other bassists were discussing about. And it motivated me.
Now I am here, to get to know fellow bass players, to learn and to share my limited experience and/or my personal opinion about something.
I hope to have a good time coming here. Hope to get to know some interesting bass playing humans (or whatever). ;)
The nickname; lol, it was the only thing I could think of at the time. ;) It had to be sturdy and simple. :)
