What is the typical 5 string nut width? I have a little under 2.5" now and it is monsterous. Serious modification but totally necessary after getting .44" between strings. <lol>:help:

I can get around on my 2.125"-er with proper technique, but there's no way I would want to go wider than that unless it was on like a 7-string. Hey, now there's an idea... PilbaraBass 06-27-2008, 08:35 PM the Squier Deluxe Active V has a very wide nut @ 2.008" (51mm)...It's wide. It takes a while to get used to, but I love it...
