Hey guys,

I'm planning on refinishing my SX bass using reranch's nitro aerosol. However, I'd also like my bass to be durable. Would I be able to use a nitro color coat, and then use a poly clear coat? If so, do you guys have any recommendations for products?

I've never had good luck with putting poly over laquer. But I have have great success with putting laquer over poly. I assume it has something to do with the fact that laquer is still in motion, albeit ultraslow motion, after it "hardens" where as poly isnt.
