Howdy.

A friend of mine suggested that I buy an instructional video to help improve my technique.

If so, what do you suggest I get?

IS there one that's well known that i should be on the lookout for?

or do i buy one based on my particular style?

just need some tips i guess.

thanks.

They're usually tailored to a specific technique or player. But for general technique tips, the Michael Manring "Bass Essentials" and Mark Egan "Bass Workshop" videos are good.

I think Rocco Prestia's "Fingerstyle Funk" is a pretty good resource. Best of all, most principles that Rocco explains apply to other styles of music too.
