As I mentioned previously, our former bass instructor Cameron McLaughlin is currently playing/recording with his cousin Samantha Farrell. They've got a MySpace site up with some of their music on it:

Very chill, very cool.
They recently got the chance to play at Denver's Mile High Music Festival (http://www.milehighmusicfestival.com/lineup.php) on the same bill with some fairly recognizable names (Dave Matthew's, Tom Petty, John Mayer, Steve Winwood, etc.).
Not too shabby, Cameron! :bassist:

Hah... that would be me! What a let-down
But seriously, I'm a pretty good player (humble, schmumble) and my theory and improv skills are getting better every day. Cameron taught me a ton while he was here, and our main guitar instructor (Greg Albert) is now pushing me even further into improv-land.
Here's a taste of me with The Kind (http://www.rocketmusic.net/SoundClips/JackStrawAlaKind.wma), if you want to guage me as a player.

Howdy, Cam here. Greg has my full endorsement as an instructor at Rocket Music for what it's worth.
He and I spent many months together before I left, working on a variety of things. He was already incredibly capable as a musician and a bassist (notice the distinction) when he first came to Rocket, and he has grown immeasurably with not much help from me. He'll tell you himself. He did all the hard work, I just made it look easy :-p
more updates soon...i'm under the radar now

Hi Cameron, I met you at John Yeates house a few years
ago. Hope you are well. I knew when I met you (at such
a young age) that you were going to do great things!
You were such a GREAT player back then I can only
imagine how freaking awsome you are now. :bassist:
BTW... you're dad was a very nice guy too. He was
actually trying to learn how to play bass. Is he still
playing?
