VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : Warwick SS1 5-String AMAZING Deal
RocketMusic 08-06-2008, 02:42 PM Warwick's US Distributor (Dana B Goods) recently liquidated a bunch of 2006 and older basses, and I was fortunate enough to grab two Streamer Stage 1 5-Strings before they got gobbled up. The Turquiose one has most likely been pre-sold, so for now I'm just offering up this 2006 Honey Violin one (http://www.rocketmusic.net/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=2680).

$3199 w/ free shipping in the US is a pretty sweet price! The current Internet price is $5119!!
The bass is in exquisite condition and comes with full warranty, etc. It IS new, it's just been on DBG's shelf for a couple years.
First come first serve on this AWESOME deal.
KsPiNeSh 08-06-2008, 04:09 PM Nice - very, very nice.
RocketMusic 08-06-2008, 07:09 PM Don't you need one for your collection, Brian? Yuk-yuk.
I finally got a chance to crank this one up a few minutes ago... WHOA!!!! What an incredible tone. With all the maple involved, it's not as dark as many Warwicks can be. Very punchy, but still loads of thunder... I'm in love :)
It took me three months of looking longingly at my Thumb NT 5 on the wall before I finally broke down and bought it for myself... I hope this one moves soon, I can't afford the GAS!
KsPiNeSh 08-06-2008, 10:02 PM Don't you need one for your collection, Brian? Yuk-yuk.
You're trying to get me divorced before I'm even officially married, aren't you? :)
RocketMusic 08-06-2008, 10:33 PM Dude - you've got to strike while the iron is hot. There will be NO MORE basses allowed once you're married. Before you know it, you'll have a mortgage, a riding lawn mower, 2 or 3 rug rats and a 10 year old car full of baby paraphenalia. You've got to live while you can!! Sieze the day!!! Time is running out!!!!
JUST KIDDING - hope I didn't scare ya  I love my wife and kids very much. While they might not actively ENCOURAGE my GAS, they do tolerate it pretty well. And I do also have all of that scary stuff myself... and it's not so bad :)
RobertUI 08-07-2008, 08:26 AM Dude... you've got a riding lawn mower? Jealous indeed :D
I was given the advice years ago to purchase a Motorcycle, Guitar and Pool Table before getting married. I had NO idea what good advice that would actually be :D Since getting married, I've purchased almost 30 guitars and a dozen amps... still no pool table or motorcycle tho!
RocketMusic 08-07-2008, 09:01 AM 30 guitars??? Jeez, Rob, can't find one you like? :D
RobertUI 08-07-2008, 02:10 PM 30 guitars??? Jeez, Rob, can't find one you like? :D
I like them ALL, that's the problem! I have only (ha... only) kept 4 guitars and 5 basses. The kids have a couple guitars and a bass too... I'm pretty sure I should be enrolling in a 12 step program.
:D
If you want a good laugh/read, I'll send you my spreadsheet of all the gear I've owned over the years.
:scowl:
RocketMusic 08-07-2008, 03:46 PM It sounds like that list would crash my computer

Uhmmmm is this still here? I have horrible GAS for a SS1. I need to stop listening to Stuart Zender...
The bad thing is I could get it if I decide to sell my Sadowsky... I can't even imagine how sweet a NEW SS1 would feel/sound.
RocketMusic 08-08-2008, 03:34 PM I do indeed still have it, but I don't expect that to be the case for long. This is a pretty incredible deal for a bass of this caliber.
You can always click here (http://www.rocketmusic.net/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=2680) to see the specs/pics and/or order the bass. If the Stock status says "Available", then I still have the bass.
I set the bass up properly yesterday, and the strings are right down on the frets with no buzz. It plays like butter, I love it.
We don't do financing, but I will hold the bass for you (or anyone) for up to two months with just a 20% deposit ($640). The deposit is nonrefundable, other than for store credit.
Let me know if you have any questions. I'd love for the bass to find a good home soon! :D
RocketMusic 08-15-2008, 09:38 AM Hmmm... I thought this one would move at $3199... but it didn't!
Let's try $2799 (http://www.rocketmusic.net/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=2680)!!
crispygoat 08-16-2008, 05:34 PM wow.. if i had the money..
KsPiNeSh 08-18-2008, 06:21 PM I would buy quite a bit of Rocket Music's inventory if I had the money available (coughcoughweddingcough) , not the least of which is this beautiful specimen.
RocketMusic 08-18-2008, 06:33 PM $2799 is the best I can do, ya'll. The current Internet price for one of these is $5119, and list is $6399... so we're like 45% off the Internet price at this point (heck, we're 56% off List Price).
This is a HECK of a deal... plus I have all kinds of goodies to throw in: Warwick baseball hat, coffee mug, T-Shirt, 1/4 scale model Thumb bass, etc.
And on top of the killer deal, the bass is a pretty spectacular instrument! Let's never forget that :)
