I'm not sure if this even makes sense, but sometimes when there is alot of treble in my tone if find it harder to play fast

And when the tone is very warm with alot of bass its seems easier to

Is there anyone else who has a similar issue?

Or do i just have issues :hiding:

Maybe the treble is just making bad technique more obvious, and so you play slower?

That's my best guess.

I could see that. Just like if my nail is just a little too long on my right hand, and it hits the strings, I can't play as fast either. But that happens to me with any bad sound, if I'm not getting a sound I want, I don't play as good. Strange how that works.

Bad sound/tone/volume/etc. can affect you. Sometimes you just try to compensate for what you are or aren't hearing.

Hand ear coordination.
I like to turn up the treble to practice playing cleaner, you can hear your mistakes better that way.
