So I am going to put together another Jazz bass.

I'd like it to be a Fender tribute, so I'd like it period correct (except for playability, like neck contour, electronics.)

I really like burgundy mist. So I am going to go with that for sure.


And I like the matching headstocks of the 60's...

But I also really like block necks of the 70's...

My question is, did those two features ever meet up in the good old days, or was it a clean transition from matching headstocks to block necks?

Definitely looks sweet, hope it turns out awesome. are you going for any kind of "relic" feel to it?
