So I'm going to be auditioning for college (with a jazz emphasis), and they told me I have to have "One jazz standard, demonstrating melody and walking bass line; demonstration of walking bass, Latin, rock and funk styles". I have no idea what songs I can even use for the audition. They also go on saying that the song I will be auditioning with has to have an accompanist with the song. So If theres any ideas, please tell me. This is my first choice college so it means alot to me to get in.

Hi Bribass,
Your best bet is to contact the college music department and get a "firm" answer from them as to EXACTLY what they want.
I'm happy to give you recommendations, but you'd be wise to find out for SURE....Make sense?? That way there is NO confusion etc.
If you need help after that, then I'll be happy to help you in any way I can.
Cool?? Cool..........
