It was very interesting. She talked all about how she's been working so hard to keep his music alive and how she had to fight bootleggers and stuff like that. I saw the Charles Mingus Orchestra, which was realy interesting. They had this Russian guy on bass. He was really good. He wasn't the leader though. There was a guy that played flute, alto, and soprano sax and he was in charge of what's going on and giving signals and stuff. You could feel the Mingus spirit when they were playing it was awsome. |
