I just put in a set of Seymour Duncan Antiquity Is in my MIM Jazz Bass, and it's a tone machine now! Sustain and beautiful tone out the rear end. I had always heard standard Jazz pickups "merely function", and I had no idea until I got these in. Also, the pole pieces aren't exposed, so I don't get nasty noises every time I slap.

This, combined with getting the neck fixed (there was a crack going from the top of the skunk stripe up to the headstock), makes me feel like I've got a new bass.

now just to get rid of that dead C...

Pole pieces not exposed?

They are supposed to be, at least in my p-bass antiquitty I's they are.

On that picture they are exposed:

Maybe you meant that the pole pieces are not raised over the covers?
I hope you did not get screwed over evay or something.

Yea yea, that's what I meant. They're flush with the top of the pickup. I bought them from someone here, so I'm good.

That's cool, that was just to make sure.

And yeah, they certainly sound damn good, best pickups I tried ever.
