I have a pbass that I'd like to add a Jazz pup too.
What are my options for wiring? volume/blend/etc...
I have a feeling that blending might be a little limiting.

Volume/volume vs. master volume/blend is really a matter of personal preference. There already a few threads on the topic in this forum. :) Personally, I have vol/blend in my PJ--not by my design, that's just how the bass was built. The general consensus is that vol/vol is slightly "brighter" than vol/blend, and there are some bad blend pots on the market, so you have to choose carefully. I am not sure why you think it is "limiting" though--both setups are capable of the same range of sounds, so it's really a matter of preference.
Assuming you don't add any holes to the pickguard, my vote is vol/vol or vol/blend in your case. You could also go with stacked knobs if it's important for you to have a tone control on the bass. I am assuming you are comfortable with the woodworking to route for the J pickup. :)

I did look a bit...finding threads when 'P' and 'J' are in the title is not easy.
I must have a tone knob...just looking at options...I probably won't be doing any routing myself. HMm stacked sounds like the way to go. That way I can have vol/vol and tone.

You can go stacked vol/vol with a separate master tone control, or you can go stacked vol/tone, vol/tone like a 62 Jazz. Options, options.... :)
PS I meant there were some recent threads on blend vs. vol/vol... here are a couple of them:

AllParts sells a 250/500 stacked pot that is commonly used in the Vol/Tone, Vol/Tone arrangement. That's where I would go. I dig the 62 RI style setup.
