Welcome aboard!
This forum is great. If you have any questions about anything Roscoe, there are plenty of experienced and helpful folk to steer you in the right direction.
Do you know what kind of body wood you have? It looks like Spanish Cedar. Nice Ivory nut!

Thanks guys!
As far as I know... The bass has a Spanish Cedar body with a Myrtle Burl top. It also has an Ivory nut.
Thanks for the warm welcome.

Exactly right. Spanish Cedar body with a Burl Myrtle top. It can hit you over the head like and oak tree with phat warmth or shred you like a scalpel with sweet highs and mids LOL. Very versatile bass. Enjoy, LoBass.

Great looking bass! I've got an SKB 3006 #4071. I guess we're practically brothers. :D

The Burl Mrytle with Spanish Ceadar is an awesome combination if you play fingerstyle and want a phat warm tone. I have the same woods in my Roscoe (see 5397) and it is perfect for my playing style. Wishing you hours of sonic fun:hyper:

I agree. The fingerstyle is great. The slap sound is diferent than the J bass tone that I was used to, but it cuts very well in a live setting.
