Todd,
I'm walking through Autumn Leaves in several keys. I can play the melody in several keys. So today I bought an Ibanez SR506 from TranceFusion here on TB. Its time for playing chords.

So now the pressure is on oh master teacher.
The Chord DVD is desperately needed.
I bet you can feel Him bearing down on you to get this done.

All joking aside.....kinda.....maybe.....any ETA on the Chord DVD? I'll take the first one out of the press.

"Ok? Cool"

BTW: I'm going to be in OC the week of Nov 10th.
Any chance of getting private lesson/s while I'm there?
Pleeeeezzzzzzz?

tia,
Todd C.

Can we do the 14th evenings? I'll be in Laguna Hills until 5:00pm.
I need to check with my daughter too. She may have a coffee house gig that evening
and expects me to join her some how.

I'm game for the online thing. An email is coming.

Todd Johnson is perhaps the best combination of player, teacher, and decent human I have ever seen. Todd's 20 years of experience, coupled with his innate ability to communicate clearly, makes his teaching effective! You all should jump at the chance to study with this master.

I have been listening, playing, and teaching for many moons now and have never heard the bass played as Todd plays. His jazz melodic reharmonization is nothing short of Genius. On the guitar and piano Todds "Grips" are common good stuff, but on bass, these grips are GROUND BREAKING! In the last year I have seen some heavy cats marvel at Todd's chord work - Steve Bailey, O'teil Burbridge, Rufus Reid, Michael Manring, Dave Buda, Joe Hunt, Dino Govoni, etc.

Todd pours his heart and soul into his teaching. Seventy-five bucks is a STEAL!

I feel privileged to be associated with Todd.

Jim

p.s. How much lesson can i get in exchange for a Shortys lunch? :)

I'd love to get a lesson, I'll have to hold off though since the dollar is plummeting. It would just cost me too much after conversion at the moment. Hopefully in the future though!

The truth is that Jim is "THE BEST TEACHER" I know....PERIOD......All the "serious" students at Berklee and in New Hampshire know what I'm talking about. I'm constantly mining Jim for his expertise.......

Shorty's!!! Ha!! Jim...for you it's "free grips for life".....or until our hands wear out!! Ha!!:D

You can tell a lot about people based on what they are willing to say about others. I hope to meet both of you.
