I had the idea of putting up some kind of survey for TB members to take, in order to determine TB's demographics. Age, income, marital status, all that other stuff you normally see on surveys.

Why? It might help TB to garner more advertising revenue. IME, the most commonly asked questions by a company when they are thinking of buying ad space are regarding demographics.

For example, if we knew for a fact that the average TBer was (hypothetically speaking) 18-34 years of age, single, owned a car, earned $20K US a year, etc., then other advertising companies might become interested, and not just bass-related ones.

Just a thought. :)

That was a couple years ago... the poll wasn't a forum poll, but a box ad, site wide, that said "please take a moment to complete our survey" or something like that. Several thousand replies came in.
