I just bought a Schecter elite 4 (awesome bass) I got it used and now im having a weird problem with it. I will be playing around with it and all of a sudden the sound cuts out to about half volume and is all muffled, then with out warning ta da and its back to normal... I thought it might have been the amp so I tryed it with another one and whadaya know - same damn thing.
Any one have any ideas on what the problem could be?
Thanks!!!

yeah i figured i was going to have to do that.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to a scematic of the wiring of the older schecters, the ones with the two gain controls?

You may just want to email Schecter directly. I've gotten good responses from them whenever I had a question or issue.

Same thing happened with my Schecter Stilletto Elite a couple days ago. I changed the battery just in case but still don't know if that will solve it.
Anyway, if you find the solution please post it :D.

Get this... I did nothing and now it works fine, or atleast it did for the 30 mins that I played it last night - I will test it more today and repost.

So I tested it and all seemed fine - I really dont know how to explain it... Its like one day its all messed up and the next its fine. Im still getting used to the sound of my new amp so sometimes I think Its still not as loud as it should be. Im gona go over the wiring soon.

it could be a battery problem. Elite-4s have an active preamp so lack of juice causes that.
