I know Nordstrand makes them, who else?????
And where to buy?
Passive.

I thought Duncan would have them- nope! At least not that I have seen on their site anyway.

Replacing the PJ pick-ups in my Yamaha BB5000 (wide neck model BTW).
Already replaced the pre-amp with a Sadowsky pre- oh man did it just get gnarly!
Wanna get more passive/grindy sounding though.
The stock pick-ups remind me of EMG's with the Sad pre.
Not bad, but just trying something different.
I have the realy active modern hi-fi PJ sound with my TRB5P. The BB5000 is gonna be the grindy one!

So- any ideas suggestions???

TIA!
Mike

I believe Duncan made P5 can be purchased from Sadowsky and Mike Lull. Still it wouldn't hurt dropping an e-mail to Brian (sales@bestbassgear.com). There's a good chance that he can fix you one.

You might consider Lace pickups as well.

You might consider Lace pickups as well.

Our Aluma-P pickups are convertible and can be installed in 4, 5 or 6 string basses.

Pedulla uses Bartolini P pups on their Pentabuzzes.
