Put the bass down, get out your pen and start writing down some goals. Dream a bit, what would you really like to do? Where do you want to be in 5 years time?

Then think about the steps you would need to take to get there. What gigs will you need to do along the way. What experience do you need? What lessons will you need to take? What styles will be required? How much theory? Which techniques?

Then try to put some dates against these things. Where do you need to be 3 years from now? What things must you do this year to be where you need to be in 3 years? Which things this month will help you get to the end of the year and what will you do today to get to where you need to be at the end of the month?

Lots of questions - but you need to ask yourself. Get a clear picture in your head and it will help when times are tough and motivation is lacking.

We can ofer guidance but only you can know what you really want to do. Put your plan together and I'm sure forum users will help you get there :ninja:
