I snagged one of them..got it on black friday so got another 15% off of that. So at $850 it was definitely a good deal I think. --no case though-- I think its the 1st time I ever got a decent deal in GC...though I cant say even at that it was a pleasant experience. Both were well store played..poorly set up..and kinda grungy. I took the lighter and more flamed of the two. Fortunately oil finishes are very easy to rejuvinate. GC drives me crazy..im trying to hear the thing and some guy..obviously a regular was noodling quite loudly for like 30mins on a $300 bass he already had on lay-away..I just wanted to hear the bass for 3mins before bbuying it and couldnt even really do that over Mr GC House bassist..and the salesperson is like kissing some 10yr old and his parents ass over a $400 bass..meanwhile I grab a $1K bass ready to buy and he acts like im in the way..I try to avoid GC like the plague..but have to say I did ok on this deal.
