Can anyone here identify these Precision pickups? I got them in a used bass a about 6 years ago, the guy I bought it from said the previous owner had spent $70-80 for these pickups, but he wasn't sure what they were. The bobbins are quality fiberboard, and poles are beveled. On of the magnets is colored red on the back. Wires coming off the pickup were cloth covered, and it came with the brass colored gounding plate. I'm guessing maybe a Fender RI pickup? Haven't tried it yet, but am wiring it in shortly. I would guess a Fender RI too, but that's just a guess. Is the coil wire auburn/dark purple? What's the DCR? How tall is the coil (between the bobbins).

I'd also guess it's going sound good.

yes, dark purple wire, about 10k,cant measure disance now, its in the bass, still need a 1/4" jask and a neck to complete project
