i just bought a warwick thumb bass (which i adore!!) awhile ago and was considering upgrading the pickups, they came with Seymour Duncan Active J-Bass Pickups...anybody have any suggestions??? thanks!

btw...kinda going for a deeper growl, sweet and dark tone

I tried a lot of combinations. My favorite is Lane Poor p/u with Bartolini NTMB 3bnd eq. It's very flexible and even at 15db boost it's noiseless.
