I am going to get some nickel strings because I have never had any and I think they will have the tome I am looking for. I think I am going to get D'Addario XL but I was wondering what other good nickel strings are out there. Thanks

Well, for Nickel plated strings, I think the ulitmate are the D'Addario SlowWounds.

Lakland (for extra long scale) Ken Smith, Thomastik,
Ernie Ball and Martin/Darco's. I've used all of these with
very good results, depending on the bass. What kind(s) of
bass(es)?

I have a fender jazz bass. I am just gonna pick up a set or two tomorrow and see how they sound.
