Just a short question here: in an ad in BassPlayer, I saw some strings by Thomastick/Infield that are gold (or bronze) colored. Now I know that I should let sound be the judge (and for the prices I've seen on Thoms I definitely will), but I kinda like the color of them and was wondering if anyone has had experience with them or could tell me what they're called. Thanks.

In all likelihood you're looking at their Acoustic bass strings since they are phosphor bronze.

Yes these strings are acoustic strings. I have them on my Takamine. They are real nice for acoustic, but I wouldn't recomend them for electric.
